Sedimentary structure of inferred cyclic‐step bedforms in submarine volcaniclastic slope deposits, Cuatro Calas, south‐east Spain

چکیده
Cyclic steps are widespread on submarine slopes of many modern insular volcanoes. This paper provides the first detailed description and interpretation sedimentary structures depositional architecture cyclic-step deposits such bedforms formed slope an ancient volcano. With novel method, maximum step height length 22 460 m, respectively, have been calculated. some thicker complicated that were as trough-fills, superimposed downstream migrating antidunes. Types of Martian Fan - Shaped Sedimentary Deposits
Introduction: Deltas, fans and channels on Mars clearly indicate surface water in the past. These landforms contain valuable information about the duration and magnitude of surface-water flow, with obvious implications for potential life on Mars. Martian fan-shaped deposits such as deltas and alluvial fans show architectural elements similar to those of terrestrial analogs, e.g. lobes, terraces...
متن کاملModeling Sedimentary Deposits on the Continental Margin
A first objective is to investigate the fabric (pattern) of seabed stratification on continental margins at small time and space scales (1 cm-50 cm depth into the seabed; 1 hr-3 yrs sedimentary record). To this end, we are testing the hypothesis that on muddy shelves such as the northern California shelf, Holocene event stratigraphy consists of the deposits of high-concentration storm regimes a...
متن کاملFacies, sedimentary environments and sequence stratigraphy of Cretaceous deposits in the northwest of Azerbaijan, Iran
The Cretaceous deposits in Morakan, located in the northeast of Khoy, a town in western Azerbaijan province, Iran, are primarily made up of carbonate rocks. These deposits, which are of 717 meters thick, lie on the clastic facies of Jurassic and are covered with beneath the pelagic beds of the Upper Cretaceous. To investigate the facies, sedimentary environment and sequential stratigraphy of th...
متن کاملthe role of thematic structure in comprehending spoken language
in fact this study is concerned with the relationship between the variation in thematice structure and the comprehension of spoken language. so the study focused on the following questions: 1. is there any relationship between thematic structure and the comprehension of spoken language? 2. which of the themes would have greated thematic force and be easier for the subjects to comprehend? accord...
